Ben Woodeson
Fourteen pairs of handmade electro-magnets placed throughout the exhibition that tap out Morse Code texts from or about self-help manuals with titles such as ‘A Guide To Getting’, ‘Confidence, Trust and Loving’ and ‘Grow Rich’. Different quantities of delay are programmed into each pair of magnets resulting in a random sonic landscape. The piece reflects Woodeson’s ongoing interest in technology, communication and how we treat and/or trust information.
